Some of my enclosures.
Being that some of you asked I figured I'd throw this up here.
These are my indoor enclosures... with more to be built. Then there is my kingdom... again... more to be built. You can see the difference between this taken in the Summer and the Leopard tortoise picture taken in the Fall. The football kickback net keeps em busy when they are not eating. It also helps keep the legs fit and the weight down. For anyone interested I have some plans drawn up in pdf of the multilevel enclosure. If you have any questions... feel free to ask.

Nice tables, think I'd need a ladder to reach the top
Lucky torts to have all that outdoor space. Rach

very nice to see love the stacked tables and outdoor enclosures, looks very dry there, very wet and miserable here, just noticed all the big torts in the background, that must have cost a fortune to fence all that in, are they out there all the time and what sort are they?

Ed lovely enclosures a few questions.
What is the distance between the enclosures? How do you get to the top lol? Who is kept in there? Oh and how deep is your substrate?

Fantastic enclosures Ed.
I like the way you have positioned the enclosures in respect of the trees. Your lucky torts get sun, shade & dappled shade. Good planning, luck or just turned out that way? WHO ME...... JEALOUS, how could you think such a thing

sarah,
What is the distance between the enclosures? About one foot. How do you get to the top lol? That step ladder thats on the side of the enclosure Who is kept in there? Greeks, Chacos, hingebacks, Egyptians, Stars and baby Leopards. Oh and how deep is your substrate? About 2 or 3 inches. Pussygalore, "very nice to see love the stacked tables and outdoor enclosures, looks very dry there, very wet and miserable here, just noticed all the big torts in the background, that must have cost a fortune to fence all that in, are they out there all the time and what sort are they?" When I move here it was already fenced. I bought the property with the tortoises in mind. I still have enough room to double the size of the yard which I'm eventually going to do. We are currently in a drought and heading into winter so the grass and plants are hurting bad. We are not allowed to use water for landscaping. The big guys are out all year. Those houses are heated but they are outgrowing them. I'm building a small barn for them in a few weeks.
