Thanks so much everyone, you've kept me from going mad
Oh I am so pleased that the hole won't take long to heal, looks abit urgh at the mo But she's my baby so its beautiful Oh forgot to say she had a poo on the way home too, that had been worrying me as it was nearlly a month The vet weren't worried at all tho, he said as she hadn't eaten properly it would take her ages to start pooing as torts metabulism is so slow. I'll post pics tomorrow as she is now fast asleep after her adventures. |

That is great Shell - what a relief - yes the hole will soon heal - not so long ago Honey took a chunk out of the top of Evie's nose - it was quite nasty but healed after about 5 days - they do have really good healing skin.

Has the hole got something over it to stop dirt getting in then or what?

That's what I was wondering Alan. With the warmer weather Shell, did the vet suggest popping a plaster over the hole for protection just to keep the nasties away? So glad the tube has been removed though - just in time for the lovely weather! xx

No I have to leave it alone. I did ask as I was worried as she does like to dig, but he said she must be left alone and that she would deal with it herself. I am still making sure that either me and hubby are watching her to stop any digging. She hasn't tried yet tho, I suppose with the tube she couldn't really dig so it will take her a while to get used to it not being there. Hopefully by the time she knows she can dig again, the hole has healed
Thanks again everyone, me and Torty are going to do some serious sunbathing for the next three days |
