I'm not finding Windows 10 too bad.. The though behind it is right, they haven't executed it as well as I'd hoped though.
As for mobiles, I don't leave the room without my iPhone..

Well ...I have changed my mind on windows 10! Today I upgraded my nvidia graphics driver "...supports windows 10 upgrade" it said. So I thought hey ok.
What a load of sh@@!!! Now nothing works...I can't get on the Internet, I get page not loading all the time even though my router is fine (reset it too), and my connection States excellent. My firewall can't update due to this and it's all very slow. So it's obviously NOT compatible or full of bugs. So I've decided I can't be arsed with this, not trying to figure out why and what (obviously the damn stupid nvidia update has done it)...decided to completely get rid of 10 and go back to 8. What a load of b.....ks. xx |

I found it to be quite slow too, it speeded up when I went back to 8.1. I can't be bothered messing about with stuff that doesn't work right either, I just want it to work instantly

Me too, Al. I couldn't believe it... I mean, at first - I found it all ok. But then my laptop asked for this update for my graphics card. So I naturally thought, ok - it said it was to to be downloaded as it was the new version for windows 10.
Soon as it was done and I restarted, I couldn't get on the net, nothing. So I ended up rewinding back the graphics card update and reverting back to windows 8.1 All fine now, instant loading of pages etc. So its like, go figure. Stupid program. Should have tested it more for bugs and made sure the hardware using it actually works with it. xx |

We've moved over to Win10, albeit with most of the 'extra' online stuff disabled for privacy purposes. It's mostly been painless - minor issue with a printer driver needing to be reinstalled, but other than that no real issues. Sarah moans that Internet Explorer isn't quite as stable as it was under Win7, but I've not noticed a difference because I use Chrome anyway...
Speed wise - boots far quicker than 7 and generally I've found it pretty responsive, but then our PC has a decent spec. To be honest most of the problems I've seen with Win10 have been PICNIC errors. No surprise given it's a new OS though.

I'm waiting for all the problems to be sorted out before I change. I'll probably have hours of updates by then but at least it should work.

As I said previously, I reverted back to 8.1 but a few days ago there was a Windows update and since then Internet Explorer has had numerous problems with script error messages appearing all the time and IE crashing or freezing up. I've tried ticking and unticking the script boxes in the advanced settings but nothing seems to make a difference

David did the Windows 10 last week and has spent all this week so far sorting out problems. He is nearly there but some of the external hard drives I have cannot be located.... I am sure it will turn out ok once sorted. X x x hugs x x x
