Danny,
I have seen some posts of yours stating that Tunisian torts have been introduced to Malta and live/breed here. Do you have any more specific info when it could be and in which part of the island? Local ppl are not aware of this fact. |

Trying to find my information. Though not sure it says when they were introduced as it most likely was a prehistoric introduction.

They are very nice whatever the exact species. I guess Malta has quite good weather for keeping tortoises. Scotland not so much, especially right now (-3C outside)

Thank you so much. And yes, great climate for them. I suppose they would survive all year round if released. For my cuties part of the roof with planted weeds and maltese soil as substrate will be an outdoor habitat from march/april till november.
Update: Today is sunny and warm, so time for first sunlight this year. They seem to love the outdoor habitat Last edited by Pawciorc; 04-02-2015 at 10:32 AM. |

I know just what you mean about them loving the outdoors. I can't explain how I know it, but I'm certain my tortoise like to be outside.
