I do have bittercress in my garden but it is usually very small but this year I found a patch of monster size bittercress near a stream not far from home it survived the frosts and snow, thank goodness!!! The spot I found it was quite shady and boggy which must suit it?? (top secret location, it's mine, all mine )

I only found some for the first time today; this winter I've only been able to find dandies, plantain and sowthistle. I found lots of ivy leaved toadflax too but was told it wasn't suitable.

Now, with the weather being a little warmer, weeds are popping up everywhere! I think it depends on what part of the country you are in as to what will survive the winter.

Hi
I picked what I thought was bittercress but some had small white flowers opening but some had pink/purple small flowers. What do you think this may be as the leaves definatley looked like bittercress to me.
thanks

Sarah

Hi Me Shell
thanks for your response - unfortunately I threw it all away which was rather daft. I will put up a picture if I find some more.

thanks
