She built and laid her eggs at tea time today, all in all she was done and dusted in 75minutes. Away to up-load photos of the eggs emerging for those wondering how the come out.

Hi Andy if the stones she is passing look like actual stones rather than kidney/bladder stones then she might be trying to take in more calcium thus eating white stones. It's always good (and cheap and easy) to add some home made calcium cakes just add water to calcium carbonate powder till it makes a thick gunk and then leave to dry. Some people make them in ice cube trays. Me I make them in a bowl then line a cup with cling film and scoop in. Once dried I take out and break up into little calcium stones and place in the enclosure. Some eat them some don't but doesn't hurt to have them in there especially if it is a tortoise that likes eating white stone

Thanks for that Alex,
But she has plenty of calcium blocks, bowls of calcium powder and loads of cuttlefish bone around her enclosure, the stances she past were pink granite.
Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy
Well if she has calcium available then that's good. Does she eat any of it and if so what type?

No idea why she is eating pink granite. Maybe Dan or Ed might know.
