Stunning. What substrate do you use? It looks very natural.

They are really lovely looking torts, but I've only heard of golden Greeks since joining SW, and I'm really interested to find out more about them, can you explain are they a sub species of another Mediterranean species, if so which one or are they a species in their own right, can you explain what they are please, and where in the Med are they found other than Greece , many thanks. They might be a breed I would be interested in adding to my collection in the future.

Thanks all im pleased you like them,They are lovely tortoises.
Fred123 the substrate i use is called ocean rough sand,You can buy from any builder yard.

Suze
Golden greek is a made up name for any spur thigthed tortoise that is golden or blonde.
They tend to come from very hot places hence the light colour carapace and limbs.
They tend not to grow very big ether,Mine are a little bigger than adult female Tunisian.
I think there orgins is from the middle east,Interesting tortoise.
