Google amateurs
My sister has had a nightmare with Google. Can you believe this .. on their maps you can change any details of any markers on their maps without having to reveal who you are or anything! Where she lives someone changed the details of a shop and put in her private details, address and phone and changed the listing to include police, banks, tourist office, post office etc. She's had constant phone calls and even people walking into her house! Google were not interested but I tracked it down and discovered you can simply edit it back to what it should be. It has to be approved first though and can take weeks to change. Anyone searching google for the address or phone number for any of those premises just get her number instead!
So basically anyone can enter your personal details or anything they like about you and it comes up on google searches just by typing in the name of your town! Last edited by Alan1; 24-02-2011 at 09:11 AM. |
