ok and not sure its pumpkin either....I am completely stumped too but then again I am no expert far from it ! could it be that part of country only has it? im not sure I've seen it in the woodrows round South/SE East? I have got a gooseberry bush that is very similar but it goes to wood and the leaves are much bigger.
by the way my boy Horsfields love willow herb so may have to have a rethink on that one Sandy !

It's interesting that it's similar to your gooseberry bush, CB. Maybe we'll all just have to wait and see whether it flowers.

Emma ! the really weird thing is I though my gooseberry bush was a loganberry bush which is related to raspberry bush which is what you said in the beginning so I think you may be onto something...if that makes any sense whatsoever !!!

Hi everyone, sorry for not up loading sooner. Hopefully these new images will help. I think it might be white nettle (non stinging) but not sure.
Hopefully someone, somewhere will know

Sorry the images aren't very clear. But you can just make out a few buds. They don't seem to want to open and seem to have stayed like that for some time.

It doesn't look like dead nettle as that has a more square stem. I'm still stumped.

It is in situ. Its started to grow from underneath the tortoises out door enclosure, onto the hard floor.
