My mum went to a boarding school in Dublin where her and some friends messed with a ouija board. She never told me the full story but she had an awful experience and one of her school mates died that night falling from an upstairs window. She always said they were dangerous and made me promise never to dabble with one

That sounds scary Claire.... has anyone had any negative experiences with them? Or know anyone who has?

I mean I see it as religion... you see/believe what you want to? Is it anything more than that?

Anyone got any opinions?

I have to say...I wouldn't like to try it.
The ramifications (if a negative entity was contacted) exceed that curiosity for me.
Whether I believe or not, I wouldn't go there.
Just my opinion xx

One of my friends won't do it with us she goes home if we get the board out..she said her mum and dad done it when they first got together and had a really bad experience where her dad nearly choked to death..he said it felt like someone had their hands around his neck and was trying to kill him.

Too be honest I do it because I don't know whether I do believe in the ouijy board. I believe our souls do not die and there are spirits but I'm still not 100% with the ouijy.

Why is it that god is the only good spirit that we should talk to? If people are good in life they don't suddenly become evil in death. If contacting spirits is done with care and responsibility then there should be no problem. It certainly isn't the "occult" no one mentioned the devil, demon spirits, animal sacrifice, wearing black hooded robes and turning crosses upside down.

I agree, I have known many perfectly happy spirits, they only did something bad once... and he ended up in prison a few years later.

spirits, God and the Devil are not the same kettle of fish really!

I wouldn't be doing it..
My Dad did it when he was younger and the glass flew off the table and smashed against the wall on the opposite side of the room

Yep, I imagine all living animals have souls. Obviously I don't know for sure its just what I think xx

I think 'orbs' are spirits that haven't found their way to the next level, some are lost and some don't want to go.
