Now had they said I never intend to make a space outdoors for my tortoise then everyone would be right. Depending on the species of course.
The OP also stated that it was an "indoor tortoise" and that they intend to build it a bigger table in the summer.

Excuse me ! I never jumped !! I just commented on what the op had posted. Which was that it was an indoor tortoise, and I don't think tortoises should be kept entirely I doors, just my opinion! We are all entitled to our opinions ( in a huff now ) ( wink ) xxxxx

Some have a body clock that just tells them its time to hibernate.
I would get him/her checked out by a good tortoise vet, just to be on the safe side, that there is nothing going on health wise.

Are you doing them correctly with the colon then the word then another colon? No spaces in between. I forgot how to do them, Merlin had to remind me!
