I just work with him to get used to these things, its part of life. You cant ban everything just because it upsets someone. Otherwise we would be living very poor lives.
Health and safety is another, its gone absolutely crazy.
Common sense should rule.
Very well said I feel sorry for all the people who are effected by these things but we can't just go round starting up partitions to ban this and that or this world will turn into a very very sad place to live.

I agree with you, you cant ban every thing that upsets someone, but we are not trying to ban fireworks altogether, we are trying to limit them to organised displays only and not sell them to the general public.
In my area fireworks were being let off 2weeks before bonfire night i suspect by kids at night. They were also letting them off on Remembrance Sunday night, very disrespectful in my opinion.

We had fireworks at my cousins funeral. Just 5 rockets for those who wanted to light one in remembrance of him. He spent a lot of time in China and Japan and loved the firework celebrations they had there. So this was a fitting tribute to him. We would not have been able to do it if they wee banned for public use. None of my animals are botherd by the fireworks either.

maybe upping the age limit to adults only to be able to buy them and by adults i mean people in their 20's at the moment I think its 18 although I could be wrong and many kids look that old when young. I would like to see them banned from sale in shops or at least before and after bonfire night and only available in specialist shops or where they are made/imported. Having said that they are so costly that there aren't many family's that buy them for themselves most going to events, we used to have some in the garden when I was a girl back in the 60's and dad used to let them off but I don't remember organised events and most family's in my street had some on bonfire night along with a fire but I don't remember them being let of any other time.

Yes i think this is the main problem, if letting off fireworks was restricted to only one night Nov 5th everyone would know when to expect them and could be prepared.

Well i just read that article an im now with you lets ban bonfire night altogether you get my vote Not
Lets ban Christmas too as that im sure upsets many religions.
Ban the tooth fairy as it is all a lie and we should not teach our children to lie should we,
Ban the Easter Bunny as that's not real either.
Ban intensive farming as that's bad too, oops forgot if we ban that we will all starve,im sure there are loads of other things we could ban so maybe we should make a list.

This is in fact not true. When training a gun dog it is taken out to sit next to someone firing a gun, if the get spooked they will never be a gun dog!
Some dogs naturally react more than others so sound.
My dog was brought up around guns, she is very reactive to noises! (well she was... selectively deaf now)

Buzz always got stressed at fireworks, but I love them I wouldn't want to see them banned, we know the time of year they happen and I have always been able to deal with it, I know how to keep her calm and under control!

The petition is now at 27,000, may i remind you we are not campaigning to ban fireworks, just to ban sales to the public.
