Formally introducing..
The girlies have names! They are from Greek mythology, I think that's fitting for tortoises and they sound regal enough - suit that stare we all know and love lol and also because they're the first I've suggested that Andrew didn't pull a face at (I eventually got "actually, they suit them" so that's settled it!)
Hestia "Hes-tee-ah" meaning hearth or fireside. Andrew's girlie - because she worships the heat lamp/sun and because he's a fireman (no, he didn't find that funny either ) Posing (no, she wasn't eating buttercups, it's just a pretty colour) "What's the use of a tv this size if you can't change the channel?!" and Hebe "Heeb" (because my car's registration is BBB - Phoebe, I'm not naming my tortoise after a car!) meaning youth. My little girl - because she's younger than Hestia (and I'm younger than Andrew no, nor that one), possibly the smallest tortoise I've ever seen and she's a mare, like her mum Posing (for once not eating!) "Humph!" (see? Strops like a teenager, if the plantpot had a door you'd have heard it slam a mile off!) I feel better now, felt meaning always calling them 'her', 'girls' or 'mine'/'Andrew's' The theme now means a boytoy would be called Hermes and should I ever end up with a sulcata it'll have to be Zeus lol
