Tortoise Diary
Hello everyone,
I am going to make a tortoise diary to keep all my information about them in, however I was wondering what type of information should I actually keep in it? For example- weight?? Thank you in advance, and sorry if this post isn't very clear in the way it is worded! |

in mine i keep a log of weight, length and then keep a copy of the mcintyre ratio to check each time hes weighed. I guess if you like you could have a comment or behaviour section and just take notes. i do this occasionally if he does something new or is acting odd/not eating etc ... hope this helps
and if you really wanted you could keep a record of when you bath them and how long for or when you supplement their food, i did this when i first got george because i kept forgetting but once i settled into routine i forgot to fill in the diary lol but i alwasy weigh and measure |

Same as above I guess. You could make a note of what you feed them and if they like it. Note any little quirky things about their characters perhaps. Just make it something personal to each tortie.
I'm thinking of keeping one for each of mine, so this is an interesting thread for me to watch..... thanks for starting it!

Hey all ive kept one for ages, besides being able to track progress of your torts i think it will be good for my grand kids to have the diaries when they take over.

I bought a nice hard backed note pad from Staples.
I have all the purchase info inc, torts name and its parents names etc. Then every right hand page i have weights and size. On the back of that page (the left page) i put any additional info such as, date moved outside, results of sample sent to vet, treatment etc. |
