I think its ok for tortoises as they don't really react to their names? For other animals like dogs I would say its not ok. I changed my rehomer from Mary to Eivissa lol

Our (poor) dog has all sorts of names.
his official name is "Charlie", but he reacts to "Chas", "sh** bag", "b*****d", "******", and "******** little ********"

Ha ha ha ha. Sounds like my dog. I took him to school this morning and got caught calling him f***ing s***head in front of a class of 3 year olds. I'm so classy. But he pooed on his lead earlier and I forgot and put my hand on it! This is after he'd sicked up my pants. AGAIN! Why do people have dogs?

I got my dog when he was 18 months old. I didn't like his name so I changed it slightly so as not to confuse him too much, from Micky to Macky He just didn't seem like a Micky to me.
Torts, I think, are a little different. Not sure my tort, Marly, knows he has a name And there is gender complication. We often start out thinking we have a female and turns out to be a male (and vice versa) so the name doesn't always fit further down the line. In short, I dont think torts mind their names changed |
