mine have been eating it for years:0)
Although its the barassica family, it only flowers in the Spring, then sort of goes all dry and horrible. Then sprouts again the next Spring. So they only get it one time a year.

That's good if it flowers every year. I'm looking for more plants like this. Just bought some Aubrieta seeds

What I do with mine is to trim it back after it has flowered. Then it comes back with vigour the next year. You can leave it to do its own thing, but it gets more ragged.
If you wait until its finished flowering, and has set some seed (thats if you dont feed it all to torts) then it will self set. I have quite a few now growing around the garden, which I didnt put there:0)
