no 1 looks a little like amphibious bistort, was it growing anywhere near water?

Phew thanks for that....it explains my confusion...doesnt take a lot..


As to the id of the dying duck one.....no it wasnt near water....unless of course it was a dried out stream bed...I was off the beaten track....

Hawkweed is very similar to nipplewort too but i think it is nipplewort too. both are edible anyway

.. but it looks like white mould on the leaf
