light fitting for Solar Glo 125w
Hi guys,
I want to purchase the above bulb and I also need to buy a light fitting. The Exo Terra Glow Light (see below link) comes recommended but I am confused as to why there are 3 sizes ?? Can anyone shed any light ? (Pardon the pun !) Thankyou !! http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/solar_glo.php |

If you look into buying perhaps a Zoo Med Deep Dome - this comes with a holder that will take up to 160w. Its a screw fitting and its ceramic. The dome (bulb shade) is attached to it and then a lead which is threaded through to the holder. Other end of the lead is a normal 3-prong UK plug. To go with this, you could buy the large lamp stand which then allows the Deep Dome to hang from it.
Remember, for combined bulbs - you must hang the bulb so that the light is shining vertically downwards and not at an angle. There is also height restrictions - min/max to hang it. This is measured (the min or max) from the top of the tortoise's shell. I think (confirm first) that the Solar Glo 125w is 15inches...? Again, check with the manufacturer or see if someone can confirm this. I keep forgetting .... xxx Hope this helps you. Good luck Last edited by yuna1971; 13-09-2010 at 01:04 PM. |

as said above, the small is up to 100w I think, medium up to 150w and large up to 250w. this site does the large one for only £13.92. I have glow light lamps and happy with them http://www.surreypetsupplies.co.uk/e...low-light.html
