Default Hermann Egg

Hi everyone,

One of my girls laid her first ever egg today. When we got it out to incubate we noticed its not the normal shape egg that our other Hermanns laid last year. This one is quite large but very elongated rather than rounded. Will this affect any hatchling should it be fertile?

Thanks,

Wendy

As long as it is fertile it will be fine i have a horsfield that lays long eggs just takes the babies a bit longer to straighten out

Thanks for the reply I'll keep you posted. We had eggs from another female last year but all were infertile she laid on soil without digging a nesting site. This female spent ages on her nest so fingers crossed.
