Yes, plantain in photo 1 but I'm afraid I can't ID the other plants in the rest of the photos.

The first one is narrow leaf plantain, but not sure about the other two, if in doubt don't feed. But have a look on the the tortoise table site, they have a very good plant data base on all plants you can and can't feed.

The second one looks like some kind of daisy and the third maybe primrose or foxglove? I wouldn't feed either of the last 2 but the first is fine.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately it looks like just the bad weeds are growing at the moment. I've spent many hours on the ttt website trying to memorise everything but it's difficult when you're out trying to remember. I've ordered lots of plugs from naturescape so now I have lots of mallow, evening primrose, vetch etc. I'm rubbish at growing from seed so this is much easier and not bad prices

Only the top one is safe I'd say. It's one of the plantains, slender or ribwort or something I think. Most people who were on this forum 1-3 years ago bought a book from Ebay called Collins Complete Guide to British Wild Flowers by Paul Sterry. There must have been excess stock of it because it was going for just a couple of quid or sometimes less. It has gone up in price now possibly because it has become more scarce. It is exactly what any weed picker is looking for, 1100 weeds/wild flowers I think. There are still some for sale on Ebay at the higher price http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/sis.html?_...d=380866401049
Here is the original Shelled Warriors thread which might contain links to other places you can buy it, from memory, Play.com and Amazon were a couple of them http://www.shelledwarriors.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=49163

You say there's loads of the plantain, it doesn't usually grow in huge amounts it's just dotted around so be careful that it's not something else, especially if near water or marshland but it does look like plantain to me
