25th July Tortoise Meeting
Welcome to the July 2010 meeting .
.... don't 'worm' your way out of this one! Why not come along and learn more about tortoises, terrapins and turtles. Meet people with similar interests in a friendly and relaxed environment. Listen to talks, exchange ideas and swap friendly advice on every aspect of tortoise keeping. All ages welcome. Just Me and my Tortoise is a voluntary tortoise, terrapin and turtle group that covers the whole of Kent and London and provides support, education and helps rescue and re-home Chelonia. It is free to join us and you do not have to live in the area to come along to our meetings. Parasites and worms in Chelonia & The Tortoise Faecal Project Speakers: Mrs E Torbet-Smith BVMS MRCVS vet from The Laurels Veterinary Centre, Bromley, Kent & Jo Hedley BVM&S MRCVS Senior Clinical Training Scholar in Exotic and Wildlife Medicine Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies Division of Veterinary Clinical Sciences The University of Edinburgh Hospital for Small Animals Sunday 25th July 1.45pm - 5.30pm - presentations start at 2pm Venue: Keston Village Hall, Heathfield Road, Kent BR2 6BG £3 per person (£1 per child) Includes refreshments and cake (Please do not bring tortoises, terrapins or turtles along to the meeting) Please contact me to book a place or for further details. Next one is September ... on the herpses virus. I will post sometime this week.
Thank you to everyone who helped at the meeting and I am pleased everyone enjoyed the presentations. We had over 50 people attend.
