It had already broken the skin and dried to the skin. So most likely it wouldn't have straightened itself out any time soon. It I'm sure was lowering his immune system but not likely that he would have died just from the ear infection.
I had 2 helpers Suze but only one nose got into the picture Danny

Just as a follow up About a week after I cleaned the ear out, I checked the ear and had to pull the scab off as it was attached to more cheesy material. He was fine and ready to go 2 weeks after this. So all in all he spent 3 weeks with me before he got let go in the exact same spot, fighting fit
