thank you !!! He is still surviving the shell extraction - seems to be reversing out. Im a bit worried he will exhaust himself without getting clear of the shell...its been 27 hours...loving the shell imprint on his carapace ! E.T was on last night - Extra Tortoise was suggested ! E.T

They can take a while to come out but he looks fine. If you think he's a bit stuck you could just give a light misting to help him ease himself out. It is always amazing how small Marginated hatchlings are despite having large parents!

Thank you Mary, i did ! and he is OUT OUT ! He walked around in a circle and then has gone back inside his shell again. He is the tiniest tortoise, like you say as a Marginated. He has been sleeping all afternoon, so may turn the lights out at 4 at usual , but maybe I should bathe first?
He is only in a kasabi chinese take away box placed near a second lamp in the others pen ...99 days ! I turned lights out every night, and some nights were bit cold and I only used coco coir and some stones - I still can not believe he has hatched what a shock I got yesterday.

Thank you and you too BT
Yes !! what an earth happened !! Fergus got a lot to answer for! Quote:
sooo unprepared ! so he is in a seed tray and spent night under half an aerosol lid from and engine spray cut in half. Then this happened at 5am ! lights were off ... literally off in a thrice....not like Uno egg who took 30 hours odd, and his little friend desperate to join him.. Duo Egg Straight into bathing himself.. and then snoozy Egg ..I had to take him out in the end as he keeps falling asleep in there....and spouting water. Its nerve racking !
