Tortoise house
I thought I’d put the time at home to good use and remodel the Spurs greenhouse. I built this insulated tortoise shed for in the greenhouse, to give them shade in the summer and keep them warm in the winter. I will install a tubular heater on a frost stat to keep the temps stable in the winter. The torts will dig down to hibernate and it should save me bubble wrapping the whole greenhouse. Once in position the greenhouse was re-landscaped to suit the new layout. |

These are great step-by-step photos of how you built it. Love the greenhouse and the whole enclosure.

Looking good Richard. Very envious of your succulents. Is the other plant rosemary?

Thanks Lynn. I’ve had to dig a few of the aloe Vera out and have potted some of the side shoots up. If the take your welcome to a couple. The other bush is lavender, that been in there from the start and provides some valuable shade, I planted anther one at the end of the house which hopefully grow, if it’s not trampled to death! I have rosemary growing in the run outside.

lovely set up Richard. Greenhouses are s versatile. I find the torts keep the heat in their shells at night more in a greenhouse and even when the sun has gone down they are like little radiators in there, CB
