Cucumber
Looking on the tortoise table website, it says "of little nutritional value".
I've gave Munster a few bits when I got him as the pet shop my wife bought him from didn't provide any water at all, so wanted to rehydrate him. He went mad for it! Now he has excess to fresh water everyday as well as a daily bath, is it ok to feed him a small amount every once in a while? Will it do him any harm? If not, how much and how often can I feed him some?

Added to that, they can become addicted to it.

It can be handy for giving them medication like worming powder as it sticks to it. It can then be hand fed and you can be sure they have got all the powder eaten. It can give them the sh***

My opinion is that cucumber shouldn't be regarded as food. If it's to get some meds down then it's fine by me.

Neither of my tortoises will eat the cucumber I offered. I have been surprised to hear about how others seem to love it. The one thing they both like and will always eat are dandelion flowers.
I suppose they are all different. |

Jan, I've never seen mine "sprint" so much as when I gave him a small bit of cucumber!

Yours are Horsfields aren't they Jan? my Horsfields don't touch it which is strange but prefer weeds. But my spurs love it and I dice it up in summer with a load of other food and weeds, - proportionally they don't over consume and I find the weeds don't dry out during the day with it. and they forage too.
