Thanks so much everyone for your kind words. My friend asked me to work in the gym tonight for her so I thought I'd find out how you all are.
Ice is back to the vets , and last night I had no sleep as I was so worried but thankfully she seems fine and is on anibiotics and has to go back on Monday. Torty is eating, eating and eating so one less to worry about. A month ago as I was taking Ice for her late night walk I found an injured greenfinch. It looked like it had been hit by a car, she had a broken wing and her eye was swollen. I put her in a box with some food thinking she would probably be dead by the morning. In the morning she was eating so I phoned the rspb and was told to phone the rspca, which I did. They told me they would put her down, so I bathed her eye and made her a cage to see how she would get on. Everyday we would carry her a little way from the cage to see if she could fly. Well a couple of days ago she was flying all the way around my living room, so we took her to a place I know with no or little preditors(cats) and opened the cage to see if she would go. She flew a little way away and then a load of greenfinches flew over and she went off with them. It was so lovely to see. I passed there again yesterday and I saw her on the fence with 3 others. I have never felt so haoppy in my life. I can tell her anywhere with her baldy side of her head and her wing sticks out slightly when she is perched. So there you are there's my news I've missed you all but I will be back here soon, and of cours whenever I work here (the gym) |
