cloudy miserable day are your tortoises in or out?
I don't know whether to put my older ones out or not today? It is cloudy and windy but the sun is coming out intermittantly, I have no heat source outside so should my 4 and 5 year old be in or out on a day like today, They keep staring at me expectantly?
eta: they've gone out I guess I'll just keep an eye out and if they go to bed I'll bring them back in! Last edited by touie; 29-05-2011 at 10:59 AM. |

Mine are out pretty much 24/7 now, and I have no additional heat, although I do have a greenhouse for the girls which brings the temps up a little.
It doesn't do them any harm to have a not quite so active day or two imo |

Put them out, mine are. When it gets colder around 7 pm you can take them in. I have a little house for them outside so when they start to get cold, they go in there and sleep. They love it. They still manage to warm up on a day like this though

Mine are all out enjoying the Ever changing weather, they just keep going indoors everytime it slashes it down........and then peek their beaks out from the greenhouse when the sun comes back out...little bit of rain never hurt anyone!

My 5 month olds are outside, they had a little wonder then went in their hides. I'm sure if I put some food in they will soon come out again, lol.
