Is Sky good? Is it worth getting? The TV in our part of the country is rubbish. I get BBC2 and Channel 4, ITV and BBC1 are a bad picture. The freeview box is just as bad only a few more channels available there

It depends who you are I suppose.
Some people say it's not worth the money but I'm one who thinks it is good. I have the HD which is fantastic for wildlife documentaries and football, there are now 33 HD channels plus all the SD ones of course.

The full Sky package (inc Movies, Sports etc) is going up to £47.25 a month, and £10 more for HD.

Some people think nothing of spending that amount in the pub but as I never go to the pub now at all I don't mind spending that on the Sky really.

On Jan 1st the VAT changes back to 17.5% so it will go up a little bit more

ive got sky tv,phone and broadband as 1 package.
i must admit it is a good price.and im thinking about switching my land line to them too as im fed up with bt coming away with their crap new charges cause my calls are not with them.
personally i think sky tv is ok(we have just a basic package, but do have a decent amount of channels) i think they could do better though as most progs are repeated.personally i wouldnt pay 40 odd pounds for the top tv packages (thats just my view)again most progs are repeated over and over again. i was flicking through the channels the other night and did so the night after, that 4 channels had exact same progs as the night before.and the amount of times karate kid has been on..
i am glad though that we have sky cause we cant even get digital in our area just now, believe it or not we still dont get channel 5 here

There is a setting in the settings which allows you to stop it doing that.
sometimes it goes off apart from that as well though but they have kind of fixed that problem
