Is it a tomato plant?

Can someone tell me when is best to pick the yellow flowers also and why my tomato plants have been eaten and by who?

CB why would you want to pick the yellow flowers......they seed the tomatoes...... As for what's eating them I would be looking for caterpillars or snails Snails get everywhere. I pulled one off a very prickly cacti in the greenhouse yesterday and gave it a flying lesson over the fence onto the road. Unfortunately it landed on a car..........on a plus note, at least it wasn't somebody's head !!!! X x x xhugs xx x x

thanks SA, I couldn't remember where you had to cut from...all my ones I grew from seed have been eaten and Ive not had that before - the lot gone - just a stalk standing so its probably a moot point but Ive got two shop bought tumblers.

I was driving along the road the other day and there was a flying snail...with a tomato plant in its mouth !! well its was green leafs ...

A flying snail- I've seen a few flying pigs near lampposts but that's lucky for you to catch sight of a flying snail, CB.
I wonder what type of tomato plant it had in its mouth....

I think it may have been green but I will double check. Not sure on the snail - Stellanne may know ! poor little snaily...he crawled home none the wiser.
I do know not to clip the flowers on tomato plants now though !

I'm crap at posting photos. Hope this has worked. This weed, plant has grown since I last saw it and doesn't quite look like a smaller Rhubarb leaf anymore. Anyway, thoughts?
