I love the name Bindi - Steve Irwin (yes I have the doll sent by my friend in Australia) called his daughter Bindi Su.
I wish we could go back to the old days and just have a little bottle of Baytril in reserve. good luck Suze, all this toing and froing is stressful isn't it. CB

I can understand vets reluctance to hand out antibiotics, like they used to, because there is a problem with animals , just as there is with humans, that is bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics. So they do have to be more careful.
My vet said today, she thinks the problem is because people don't finish the full course of antibiotics, and don't kill off every last germ, and so they become resistant to the antibiotic in the future, I think this is a good point. But I thought it quite interesting that you can get round the problem of not having to open a large bottle of baytril, by using a small bottle of the same stuff, with cats on the front of it

The other gecko is named Jazz as he's a jazz pianist. I bet you can guess which of the tree frogs is his! Have you read Terri's book? Such a good read and yet so heartbreaking.

OMG you have a gecko that is a jazz pianist. Get him on stage !!! I couldn't read it Emma. My friends lives in Australia and has met the family. they are lovely apparently. Very natural. He is a paramedic now but should have been a vet. He sent me the SI doll and you can pull a cord and you get all his sayings like Suze says. Its a little weird. They do such brilliant work. I went to the Crocodile farm in Oz and they farmed them...ohh not nice. But the one in America near Daytona mollycoddled them and you could almost touch them. Prefer them alive but Scarey mohoons!!

Should have proof-read that post. I didn't know there was a SI doll. My friend lives in Adelaide and she and her husband have flown for a holiday there twice and love the zoo. She sent a goodie bag to the kids with little magnets, badges, etc. I've always followed the development of the zoo with interest. I'm not sure the crocodile farm would be nice at all, but while there's a business and people buy the goods..... It's the same in Canada with mink. My MIL says that no one bats an eyelid at folk wearing real fur in the winter. I think the Irwin family come across very well and very close. Bob is like a mini-Steve.

Crikey Emma , you were right about his eyes !! I thought a little swollen and so glad I separated him as they swelled up like golf balls last night. Must have been something coming on. I do remember he was upside down in the water dish, but not sure how long. I've bathed and syringed care formula and the Opticom on his eyes has worked as he opened them first time this afternoon and ate heartily. CB
