I got my new tub tonight via the click and collect, £20 but when I went to collect it had been delivered there by Parcelforce yet they had some in stock in the shop despite it saying online they didn't have stock in store

I'm off to B&Q tomorrow so hope to get one.

Thanks for photos - really helps to see it for real. Photo bucket is really not so good these days.

I need to start getting my stuff ready for autumn now I think, I will put an extra bag of soil in the tub this time so that will be 4 x 25litre bags going in instead of the 3 I had last year. It was 9c in there last night but it has been colder than that. I've been putting them outside in the mornings but it's been so cold all summer that they just hide away anyway and now it's slowing them down as they're not eating so much

I am a little concerned as most of mine, even the Horsfields in the greenhouse haven't eaten for days unless I hand feed them...I think its going to be an early hibernation which isn't ideal. CB

It's useful to hear this as Beatrice usually eats so much and she is just nibbling away when offered, not bothered about getting up, but OK when I take her out for a while. Just goes to bed again early.

Jan I think its either too hot for them like today - not that i'm complaining as I love it - or too chilly and when it's too chilly there doesn't seem enough time to warm up, move eat, go to bed. But this has been such a bad august and its a time when they are usually putting on weight for hibernation. Glad you mentioned Beatrice too as I thught mine may have a bug or something...! CB
