I know it is wrong for me to say being English , but i think Germany will do it, at the top of the group of death, with the likes of Schweinsteiger, Podolski, Gomez.

My dad's a referee-qualified in 2010 but just does our games. The offside rule is now being interpreted by most refs in that any player past the last outfield opposition player when the ball is played is offside-no matter whether they touch it or not. However, this wasn't the rule he trained for so when we go most Saturdays to watch Salisbury City play in the Conference South we see some dreadful decisions. It's ridiculous as there needs to be some clarification of the 'touch' part of the offside rule. Watch any English game and you'll see this happening!

Well I'm hoping France will win it! We've had a 3-way bet at school losers gives £10 each to winner if their team wins the Euros. Other teams are England and Italy so it looks unlikely money will chane hands-we banned Spain, Germany and Holland-no need for the Dutch though. You're allowed to be a little unpatriotic if you win some money at the end!

I always root for the underdog... it makes the match that much more exciting... but it England plays as well as they did the last match... that should make todays match really exciting.

Thanks for the catch up. I don't have many in the states I can talk to about this. It's 2:45 my time.

Help me out here... the announcer said that Sweden has been eliminated... how is that?
Englands match... the goalie did earn his money. The defence was great in general but that was a goal although it looked like a spectacular save. Luckily you guys don't have play review.
