Hibiscus
My very fussy eater 'Jeremiah' has just wolfed down the first Hibiscus of the season much to my surprise. what I would like to know is.......how good are they for him? Can I feed them every day? Leaves and flowers? Are they high in nitrates considering that the plant would have to be well fed to produce lots of flowers. Also there is a lady on ebay selling fresh vacum packed flowers by the gram. Would this be a good way of getting the flowers considering you would need a heck of alot of plants to get 25grams of flowers.
Also there seems to be alot of different verities of Lavatera. Are they all edible? Leaves and flowers? Thanks a million, Louise

I feed my tortoises hibiscus flowers when the weeds are short. They love them.
Mine are still only in bud
