Default Favourate winter meal

With Autum lashing against the windows, my thoughts have turned to winter warming food. What's your favourate winter meal. Mine has to be toad in the hole with onion gravy, roast potatoes and sprouts. Yum!!!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I associate Winter with what I call 'wet dinners' lol these are home cooked comfort meals with lashings of proper gravy, Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I love sausages, mash & onion gravy with loads of veg.

Yesterday I did lamb shanks with spinach mashed potato, runner beans, carrots & broccoli, it was HANDSOME lol !!!!

I made a fresh mint gravy too. Divine.

Ooooooooo gosh, what a lovely lot of ideas for hearty winter food, it makes winter worth all that cold miserable weather. Puddings can be added too, syrup sponge and custard, mmmmmmmm.
