What is a RETEC? I am having a guess at reptile enclosure.

RETEC: Redeared Terrapin Education Centre.
This is, or was a very successful Redeared terrapin project funded by the British Chelonia Group during the 1990's.

Ah, I see, thank you. They did have a lovely big pond in a big greenhouse with lots of redeared terrapins in. Looked pretty good to me. Lots of info up on the walls too. Took my nieces and nephew, and that was one of their favourite bits as the terrapins were really active.
