have you had a proper lesson? my grandaughter has failed twice now and although she had lessons last year has been driving with her mum since then, I'm sure a lesson would be a good idea as she'd have no idea if she's picked up any 'bad' habits.

my dear Mum took 5 times to pass. She wasnt going to take it again but my Gran put a £1 in Mums birthday card and wrote 'just one more time, you can do it.
Yes she did pass next time. Boy where we relieved!!. Can you believe the test back in the 60s was only £1. Go for it, be confident, just show them what your capable of. GUD LUK Sue |

You'll pass next time Rach, you'll learn from your mistakes and it will make you a better driver in the long term - don't give up

Sorry to hear.
A pal of mine is now 61 and had 3 driving lessons about 40 years ago. On the 3rd she got stopped by the police for driving too slow. The police said she was going to cause an accident. She said, "Oh I'm sorry. I think I'll just give up now." So she got out the car there and then and walked home. She's never had another driving lesson since. Not sure if it will help, but Ifind it quite funny and it might cheer you up! |

Don't worry, Rach, most people never get it the first time, and I would say you will get it 2nd time lucky

Chin up hun, all the best drivers pass second time around! Just keep practicing on the bit you failed on, and as suggested keeping ringing daily to get in, you never know they may get fed up of you calling daily and book you in asap

Im going online to the site, I gather this is also a good way.
All the checking is hard to do in work time... But, must get a date this month. Peter - the story you mentioned did make me smile. Thanks. Thanks for all the good wishes - I HAVE to do this. As per Darth Vader (Chris (Omega), as you might say) would say - "It is YOUR destiny!!" |

Good luck - you'll get there in the end!
Although, I do disagree about the second time passers bit - I passed first time, many years ago, in fact 30 earlier this year...........um, worringly so that time has gone by so quickly. |

Rach, pick ur self up, dust ur selve down, get on with thinking about practicing for ur next one.
I passed second time, failed because on my 3 point turn (as it was then)i touched the curb, but there wasnt a curb, so told the inspector, he said, well u wouls of touch it if there was a curb.....great hey. I was so nervouse, i just felt ill, but was so different second time round, but a dog ran out in front of me & i did an emergancy stop, he said, well wasnt planning on doing that so early, but it's done now, so lets carry on, shall we. Made me laugh. Good luck for the next one. Marg. |
