Cover for outdoor enclosure
I have purchased all I need for my outdoor enclosure apart from the wood for frames as I am not sure how best to cover it. I want it covered I don't feel comfortable leaving it open as poppy is still small. The enclosure will be 6 m x 2 m and I thought 4 separate covers hinged in the middle so they can fold back but thinking about this it won't work they will fold into themselves when closed other than full length covers any ideas, does anyone have a similar size covered? Thanks.

Hiya, this a picture of the covers I made myself, they are 6ft x 2ft each, and I can lift them off individually as they are not really heavy (or I'm just an ox lol) they are not attached to each other, I weight them down with heavy bricks

My covers are very similar to Bev's, though are hinged and attached to the enclosures. We have little hooks on the brick wall the enclosures are built against and hooks on the lids, so I use a bungee cord to keep the lid up when putting the torts in and out.
Unlike Bev, I can't take credit for making mine. Bev is very clever!

I too used to have the covers hinged to the enclosure, which I was very happy with at the time, it used to raise up and hook perfectly between 2 fence posts.
Although now I've made their enclosure bigger, and more pertinently it's now an irregular shape, I've had to do something different. So it's now in 2 halves, one in a semi-permanent frame, and one which is flexible and just hooks over. Both, instead of using wire mesh, now use fruit netting.

I like those covers they look great, so does your enclosure, I'm paying someone to build my enclosure, I can't do anything like that myself. I will probably copy your covers!!!

It's simple and does the trick perfectly.
