Thank you Bindi for putting these photos up for me Stunning tortoises.
I love seeing tortoises in their natural habitat and wanted to share my friend's photos. They had a great time ... a holiday of a lifetime. Hopefully they have more tortoise photos ...

in local populations, they can achieve very high density. You may remember, in the David Attenborough series "Life in Cold blood", the sequence of Angulate, or Bowsprit Tortoises on the island off the South African coast? It showed, these animals in time lapse interacting in a huge local population.
