Basically there isn't any UVB at all coming through normal glass. As Alan said above, old glass is different, but if you live in a house built in the last 50 years then almost certainly there is zero UVB coming through the windows.

But I don't know anything about the transmission of UVA through normal glass.

yes UVB is blocked but UVA travels through glass, as explained in this programme http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01lbgrp
UVA is what ages your skin

i think uva is blocked by window tint so to block all of it the glass would have to be completely blacked out and not let light out. so isn't uva linked to the light we see?

No, you can get UV filters that do not tint the glass at all (any historic house will have this on windows as UVA is also very bad for furniture, paintings etc.)

in that programme I linked to it shows the damage done to the faces of lorry drivers from UVA coming through the glass onto one side of their face. The woman who was presenting the programme who is also a surgeon, also has skin damage on one side of here face just from driving to work in her car

I have to go on a collections care workshop every year for work, this year part it was about light and the damage it does, and while it focused on furniture they showed a picture of a lorry driver, one side of his face was normal the other horribly wrinkled and discoloured from light damage in his cab!

Tonight, if I can find my Solarmeters which I've currently mislaid, I'll take some viv readings with the glass doors on and off. I'm not expecting any real difference.
