As for good dramas, things seem to be a bit quiet on the TV right now. We're working our way through GOT, currently on season 3. I think they've done a reasonable job on keeping the plot true to the books; a few characters added that weren't in the books and some missed out - but otherwise I think the casting is good. Are you up to date with the seasons, Clare? Have you tried 'Outlander'? We've seen the first season and it got better as it went on so I'm keen to get going on the next season soon as the third is currently being aired over the pond. The fifth season of Vikings starts over there this month too. My daughter has informed me that Debenhams release their Christmas advert at midnight. Quite why midnight I'm not sure, so maybe that'll be another nice one to enjoy.

I agree, Suze. You can't beat the simplicity of the Coca Cola lorry.

Then What a wonderful life is off the agenda and then I watch it and makes me sad but happy. Wizard of Oz....... Gavin & stacy, morcombe and wise..magnificent 7! .... watership down...I love Christmas !! Got Vikings to savour which is least Chrismassy you can get with noggin the nog having a fight with...well everyone !! knocking your block off at school shouted by the teachers has a whole different meaning in Nordic. And love GOT with their Ikea rug round their shoulders. Just got his latest book.......Loving Christmas already !

And yes Clare, Elf just has to be watched. My youngest son (17 now) and I still love to watch the crappy Chanel 5 Christmas films every afternoon , we used to watche them every day after school when he was little and he still wants to watch them , bless

Then I love Jingle all the Way, the first Santa Clause out of those movies is the best, Miracle on 34th Street, Jack Frost, The Snowman.....we love them all. Not long now. I don't think you ever grow out of Christmas films on a cold winters afternoon with a mince pie and snuggled under a nice throw. Can't wait!

Me neither. I quite like the 'Cinderella' Debenhams one though. All sparkly and pretty.

It is surprising , once Christmas is over, and it comes round quite quickly once we get to September , once it's over how near spring feels and planning for the next summer can begin. Winters not long really .
