Rupert In The Garden
I put Rupert out in the garden today around 10.00 and just brought him in at 1.00p.m. All that time he was under his wooden bridge with his head out in the sunshine, when I picked him up, he felt quite cold, I was expecting him to feel warm because he had the sun shining through the slats on his bridge and his head out in the sunshine. Should he not be going out yet? It's a beautiful sunny day here about 15c.

Just remember we all have different ideas on what is cold, if he is happy then there is not a problem.

Sometimes even if no sunshine, temps can still be warm/mild. And on cloudy days...there can still also be UVB. xx

Awww thanks Sandy. It's a nerve wracking old business being new to tortoise keeping.
