Old tortoise
Hello,
I'm taking care of this approx 70 year old tortoise, she's just out of hibernation (she sleeps for around 6 months every year) with a 28cm SCL and weighs around 3.5kg (which should go up to around 4kg). Any ideas on species? Her shell has been fixed a couple of times so I think there's some varnish or epoxy so dont mind the colour, I think she's black. Thank you! |

Thank you, T.g.Ibera was also my guess however my vet was also considering the possibility that it was an Iranian tortoise T.g.zarudnyi, any thoughts about that?

It would be very cool if she was but no she isn't a Testudo graeca zarudnyi.
