Default The living rain forest

This is worth a visit i went on a trip hear with my daughters school this week and they had a few hingebacks that had bred naturally sorry the pics arnt that good the keeper told me that they had laid in their inclosure without then knowing and have done this a few times now which really amazed me as it is so wet in there but seems to work


This is one of the adults hiding in a very dark and wet part of their pen

My boys have been there on school trips, really enjoyed it.

They have bred these at the living rainforest several times and eggs have hatched after a "semi natural" incubation within the enclosure.
The group thrives and show some great behaviour to the visitors. These forest tortoises are in a very attractive, naturalistic setting and perhaps provide guidance on how to keep them?

I agree with what you are saying they do have the most amazing enclosure which i have never seen before i was amazed as to how wet it was [ beyond the occasional misting of other captive ones im sure] as for the youngsters they were very active one even climbed a fare way up the wire netting in their pen just wish i could have got better pics to show
