Interesting text, with nearly 400 pages. Readers should beware, there are a number of very graphic photographs showing some of the case studies that the author Amanda Ebenhack has dealt with. Road casualties, victims of major trauma and injury are graphically covered.
The book, provides a good deal of practical husbandry and shows the sometimes amazing powers of recovery in this ancient group of reptiles. The book demonstrates well, why Amanda has achieved worldwide acclaim for her work with Chelonia and shows huge amounts of dedication to her cause. |
