Default Another ID please...

Just found this in the garden with lovely purple flowers. Does anyone know what it is and if it is safe to feed to Hermanns?

That's great, thanks. Can they eat both flowers and leaves?

I had to go out a buy some seeds for these after seeing this post, reminded me of the garden in the house I grew up in. My mum planted this to use the pretty seed pods in flower arrangements.
CB - You do see them growing as wild flowers, don't think I'd class them as a weed, you can seeds for these, very cottage gardeny.
