Default Heat Bulb For Tortoise Table

Hi, I am going to buy a 100w D3 UV heat bulb for my tortoise table. Can I fit it straight on the bulb holder or do I need a reflector? Thanks for your answers, they help alot!

You need a reflector because it increases light, UVB and UVA by 100% it just gets the best out of your bulb.

I think most keepers get on well with a bulb holder that has a reflector as part of it. I have used holders on their own with halogen lights and it was fine though.
