I don't think my husband will post here at the forum. He is very non computer person. (even writing one sentence takes him for ages).

Can you give me the basics what needs to be done when they hatch? Do they need to drink/eat at first, or will he be just putting them back in the plastic containers with petrolium jelly?

We have a spare vivarium which we don't use, so I thought I could set this up before I go, to be ready for the babies if they hatch. Would that be ok?

They would be fine hiding in the vermiculite for a few days anyway. And they live off the egg sac for quite a while:0)

I am back. Eggs politely waited for my return from my holiday! Today is day 57. The first eggs has a small hole. We are getting there!!!! I think I can see a head inside, but it can also be any other part of the body... Egg 2 and 3 still nothing...

What a relief that nothing happened while you were away. Good luck!

I am a mommy! First one hatched. Two more to go... (maybe)

It was very nice of her to wait for my return from holiday!

That's great news

Sadly the other eggs aren't good It's never good to see colours on a tortoise egg.
