I have found B&Q topsoil to be awful in the past, I've had bags with plastic, glass and stones in. I now use the A graded wickes topsoil which is really nice, no foreign objects in it xx
I recently had to get the B+Q non sterilised stuff because they have done away with the sterilised stuff and things started to grow in it, it also has lots of coloured broken glass and chunks of wood, rubbish.

Wickes closed at Edinburgh and now there's none near me

I got my last lot from Homebase. Lots of wood, hair etc. Pot luck with what bag you get it seems. That goes for all of the retailers. xx

Westland Topsoil is good - I used it for my outside enclosure this year. I work in a garden centre and we open lot's and lot's of bags if were planting up. The contents are consistent and I think the quality is fine.
