Yes, I think that if by any chance I end up buying something there, it will be the most stressful Saturday and Sunday!

You should be able to pick up a polystyrene box from your local aquarium shop for free. It will come with a lid, plastic bag interior incase of spillages and have a cardboard box outer. Sounds like a good plan, been trying to get hold of good sized marginateds for years and this could be a crazy option. Good luck.

I dont bother with heat tbh theres no need they travel ok cooled down .
Most sellers give you a box etc , one thing to remember is to make sure you get the a10 paperwork and declare it at customs

i take my tortoise to my mum and dads for a few days when i go and i use one of these with wholes drilled through the lid for air vents, i fill it with substrate a wee hide for him (plant pot) and he is fine, he has lived in it for a few days at a time when staying over and he is fine in it, the heat lamp has had no effect on the plastic at all.

Lily has a cardboard box with air vents. He can be warm or cold...chuck in a cuddly tort teddy and he is busy throughout the whole journey. Just come back from north wales and he was superb travelling. A bit stirred by the time we got home/at the cottage but once we took him out he was scuttling round like a mad thing. A happy chappy xx
