a ceramic heater is the thing to use but if you have heating in the room it would do as long as it was warm enough. a ceramic heater needs to be placed near where the tort is sleeping, no point having it on otherwise

I don't know much about those ceramic heaters but if there are ones that have a built in thermostat and ones that don't, get one that does if you can

Thanks Clare, the vet from Jubilee is calling me when back tomorrow morning.

I've been reading older threads to see if i can get more info. I have been spraying her soil daily but it still does get dry inderneith where she would be digging down into so not sure if this might be causing an irritation, i'm going to give it a good soaking tonight so it will all be moist and carry on with the daily spray to see if that helps.

My hubby's off work this week so under strict instructions to keep a close eye on her.

She is still eating really well and it's not constantly 'bubbling' so i'm hoping it's not RNS.

The vet wil be able to confirm one way or the other asap.

Thank you xx

I got a pressure sprayer from asda for £3. you pump it up with the plunger thing on top then just press the trigger and it wets it in no time. BTW, the deeper you have the soil when you first put it in, the longer it keeps damp underneath and doesn't break up into grains of dust, only on the surface
